it started with a long-distance relationship.
I was in college and brand new to intimacy. When we finally got to visit each other, I was on my period, and I was so embarrassed.
That’s how I found menstrual discs, which you can actually wear during sex. But none of the brands felt like they were talking to a young woman like me.
I dreamt of a brand that introduced young women to this stuff in a fun way. Like the older sister I never had.

then i did something else entirely.
Private equity. Silicon Valley tech. A whole other career.
And my soul wasn’t fulfilled. I wanted to create something bigger than myself. The idea kept following me around anyway.

eventually the math got simple.
I’d regret not trying a lot more than I’d regret trying.

then women started showing up.
So Cherry started as a product idea. Then came walks, pajama parties, and a launch party for a disc that hadn’t launched yet.
Strangers left as friends. People started texting us the questions they’d normally send a sister.

cherry started as a product idea. somewhere along the way, it became the older sister i wished i had.
