cherry’s founding big sisters πŸ’

You’re already a Cherry girl. Come be one of Cherry’s Founding Big Sisters: the women helping build what comes next.

read the letter first. then find a quiet minute β€” we want the real answers.

Cherry started with an idea for a product: a disposable menstrual disc designed to make period sex easier and less messy.

It hasn’t even launched yet (don’t worry, it’s coming soon), but pretty quickly, I realized I wanted Cherry to be more than a period product.

I wanted it to feel like the older sister you never had. The person who makes you feel safe asking the embarrassing question. The one who sends you the link. Who tells you what she actually thinks. Who talks about periods, sex, bodies, dating, and all the shit you usually save for the group chat.

And then we started meeting IRL.

Hundreds of women showed up to Cherry walks, rage rooms, pajama parties, and other slightly unhinged ideas. A lot came alone. They left with each other’s numbers.

About thirty women gathered on the grass at a Cherry walk in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge in the fog behind them and two dogs in the front row
Three women in pyjamas sitting together on the floor, laughing, at a Cherry pyjama party
Two women messing about, holding up cherry charms tied with pink ribbon
A room full of women standing and talking in small groups at a Cherry event, one of them carrying a cardboard box of supplies

And they started shaping what we were building, too.

That’s when it clicked for me:

The community isn’t something we’re building around Cherry. It’s how we’re going to build Cherry.

So now we’re looking for our Founding Big Sisters πŸ’

This isn’t a job or a paid ambassador role. Think of it less like a traditional ambassador program and more like getting a seat at the table while Cherry is still being built.

We’re looking for women who want to help bring Cherry to life where they live, shape what we make, or both.

Host a dinner. Test a product. Tell me the packaging sucks. Make an introduction. Bring Cherry to your campus or your city. Dream up an event we never would have thought of. Turn β€œwouldn’t it be fun if…” into something that actually happens.

You don’t need a huge following. You don’t need an impressive rΓ©sumΓ©. You just need to be the kind of person who makes things happen and makes other people feel like they belong.

In return, you’ll get a real voice in what Cherry becomes, a front-row seat to what we’re building, resources and support to bring ideas to life where you live, and a network of women you’ll actually want to know.

Not networking. A network.

You’ll also get access to the very unglamorous things I’ve gotten weirdly good at while building Cherry: cold emailing strangers, getting brands to say yes, finding sponsors and product partners, making introductions, and turning a half-baked idea into a real thing with actual people in the room.

Because being a Big Sister isn’t about posting about Cherry.

It’s about having a seat at the table while we build it.

xoxoxo,
Anna

P.S. We really want you to be intentional with your answers here. So find a time when you can sit back, make a cup of tea, slow the fuck down, and actually get into it. We want the real answers, not the impressive ones. πŸ’
